27mm (approx. 1 1/6) hard rubber core with thin cloth covering. Clean and clear sound with nice warmth throughout the range of the xylophone. Perfect for any solo xylophone repertoire, especially Green and Brewer rags, Tambourine Chinois, Nola and the like.

Same design as the fiberglass Celeste stick but with a heavier core (same core as 1BR). Warm, yet clear, the rubber layer takes the edge off the hard phenolic surface of the core. Great for tons of playing where blend and warmth are the goalWaldweben, Sleeping Beauty, La Mer, etc. Really gives your glock a celeste-like sound. This also makes an excellent xylo stick dark and slightly two-toned. Try it on the soft trill excerpt from Medea.
