Valve Brush (Large)

Description
This superbly made valve brush is suitable for all larger piston-valve brass instruments, including tuba, euphonium and baritone. The bristles are firm and there is a long handle for ease of use. There is also a plastic tip to the brush to offer excellent scratch protection. The brush is solidly made to stop the bristles shedding.

To Clean your Tuba or Euphonium Valves

You will need;-

1 x DW4918L Valve Brush
1 x DW4912 Trombone Snake Brush
1 x DW4930 Denis Wick Advanced Formula Valve Oil
1 x old toothbrush

Take the valves out of the instrument, noting the order in which you removed them. Remove the bottom caps from the instrument, taking care not to lose the springs, then, with warm, soapy water, simply use the brush to clean inside the valve block to remove any build-up of oil residue and debris. Washing-up liquid or a similar detergent is fine. Brush each valve casing at least fifteen times over a minimum period of thirty seconds to ensure clean and hygienic valves. Gently clean the valves (remembering to keep them in order) using the same hot, soapy water. Use a Snake Brush to clean the valve ports and an old toothbrush to scrub the surface of the valve, being careful not to scratch it.  Once clean, rinse with clean water and allow to dry on a cloth. When fully dry, apply Denis Wick Advanced Formula Valve Oil to the valves and replace them in the correct order back in the instrument. Your valves should now be free of any harmful microbes, and should move freely and easily.

Overall length 18.30cms
Brush length 10.00cms
Handle length 8.3cms
