HeavyTop Trumpet Mouthpiece Silver Plated
A very large mouthpiece based on an 1870 F trumpet mouthpiece originally used by John Solomon, who was Principal Trumpet and one of the founders in 1904 of the London Symphony Orchestra.
It was played in more recent times by John Wallace OBE, who supervised the making of the 1X. An extremely powerful mouthpiece with a huge tone.
In this heavy version the extra mass makes this one of the biggest and most powerful trumpet mouthpieces available today.
Recommended for strong players who enjoy playing large mouthpieces and players using historical long F trumpets (see photo), which were the standard orchestral instrument in Britain between about 1855 and 1915.
