The Vandoren Carbon Ligature

Available in limited series, the new Carbon ligature from Vandoren is made with pre-impregnated woven carbon fabrics, and its tightening is ensured by a stainless-steel screw threaded in 2 titanium pillars.
 
Thanks to its weight, the Carbon ligature does not interfere at all with the vibration of the reed and fulfils only one role: keeping the reed on the mouthpiece.
 
The very high rigidity of the Carbon ligature allows an optimal transmission of acoustic energy by limiting the losses related to parasitic vibrations.
