Jubilee Prelude was commissioned by the Swiss band, Fanfare Concordia of Vetroz, as a 20th Anniversary present for their conductor, Geo-Pierre Moren. It is a lively concert opener in ternary form.

The Studio Music Progress Series is designed to provide stimulating repertoire for the intermediate concert band. Within the series the standard of difficulty will vary somewhat but is generally around the Grade 3 level; works have, however, been included because of their suitability on musical grounds, rather than an adherence to strict musical grading.
