Hybrid design
In short, the E2-LT can be described as a fusion of our E2 and E1 models. The instrument comes standard with a 0.80 brass body combined with a 0.60 red brass bell. The bell shares a 305 mm diameter like our E1, yet like an E2, has a soldered rim for improved focus. The valve block comes from our E2, but is equipped with the lighter E1 bottom caps. Then theres the heavyweight 4th valve bottom cap for more stability and centre in the tone.

A fully handmade instrument
To claim each instrument is handcrafted is a prodigious understatement. We are proud to be one of the few manufacturers in the world who master this craftsmanship. Driven only by perfection, each part is brought to life by the hands of our incredible instrument artisans.

The bell and body parts of our instruments are carfully made from sheet metal, assuring extreme hardness of the material, besides very thin and uniform wall thicknesses. Qualities that can't be achieved with the hydroforming technique used to produce cheaper instruments found in the market. Do you also opt for quality?

Unparalleled valve manufacturing
Made in the tradition of the legendary Bauerfeind valves, Adams valves are made from stainless steel for fast action and long-lasting durability. All valves begin with hand soldered brass valve ports and are finished on CNC grinding machines to tolerances of .005 mm, the tightest manufactured valve blocks in the industry. Experience the impact of these specifications on your playing comfort.

Adjustable Gap Receiver - Optimized playability *
Every Adams euphonium is equipped with our patented Adjustable Gap Receiver (AGR), empowering you to fine-tune the instruments response and resistance to match your exact preferences. Whether you desire lightning-fast responsiveness or a more controlled, resistant feel, the AGR ensures that your euphonium plays exactly the way you want it to. Discover the perfect configuration tailored to your unique playing style.

Customizable with fix combinations
One of the unique features of the instrument is the fixed pairing of a 0.80 body and 0.60 bell in both the standard Selected Model and custom-built versions. Different finishes, bell materials, a trigger, engraving, and other options are available custom-built instruments. Bell and body materials are always linked in the following combinations: yellow brass yellow brass, gold brass gold brass, red brass yellow brass, sterling silver gold brass.

* Adjustable Gap Receiver (AGR)
As a musician, you want complete control over your instrument. With the Adjustable Gap Receiver (AGR) built into every Adams euphonium, you gain that control. This innovative and patented feature allows you to finely tune the response and resistance of your instrument to suit your personal preferences. It enhances transitions between registers and enables more nuanced changes in tone color. The AGR ensures a perfect match between your playing style and mouthpiece

Many euphonium players might not realize it, but the distance between the mouthpiece shank and the beginning of the instrument's leadpipe can significantly affect performance, including response, tone, and intonation. This gap between the mouthpiece and the leadpipe is commonly referred to as the 'gap.' The reason for this gap is that different manufacturers may use varying sizes and tapers for the receiver or mouthpiece shank.

An innovative solution to this issue is the Adjustable Gap Receiver (AGR) on the Adams Custom euphonium. Unlike traditional receivers, this design allows you to precisely adjust the gap by simply turning the threaded receiver. This adjustment can make a noticeable difference in playability and tone, as demonstrated by various tests with different mouthpieces. Additionally, the AGRs threaded mechanism allows for fine-tuning down to the smallest detail. While other methods to adjust the gap have emerged following our invention, the AGR offers an unparalleled combination of precision and convenience, without the need to swap or store separate parts. This makes it possible to effortlessly and precisely tailor the instruments response to your personal playing style.

The gap can vary significantly, even with mouthpieces from the same brand. This variation can affect the playing experience and the instrument's performance. Players who may initially overlook this gap might miss the opportunity to fully optimize their instruments potential. The AGR provides the ability to experiment and find the ideal setting, whether you are switching between mouthpieces or refining the instruments response.

In short, although the Adjustable Gap Receiver may seem like a small detail, it offers euphonium players a valuable tool to enhance their instruments performance. By paying attention to the gap and making the necessary adjustments, players can improve their playing experience and achieve a more personalized sound.
