Communion and Jubilus for Brass Band - Kjell Flem, Stemmesett

Communion og Jubilus er hentet fra orgel suiten Ecclesia in mundo som jeg skrev for 100-års jubileet til Ålesund kirke i 2009.
Da jeg arbeidet med Ecclesia in mundo ønsket jeg å inkludere forskjellige sider av den kristne kirken gjennom tidene.
Så verket er inspirert av forskjellige kirke samfunn som den katolske, den protestantiske, den ortodokse-koptiske kirken i Etiopia og asiatiske kirkesamfunn.
Den andre satsen Communion er inspirert av den jødiske gudstjeneste hvor en eller to jødiske prester synger improvisatoriske melodier som svares av menig- heten. Jubilus satsen uttrykker gleden over det nye orgelet.

COMMUNION AND JUBILUS for Brass Band (Score and Parts)

Communion and Jubilus are taken from the organ suite Ecclesia in mundo which I wrote for the 100th anniversary of Ålesund church in 2009.
When I worked with Ecclesia in mundo, I wanted to include different sides of the Christian Church throughout the ages.
So the work is inspired by different church communities such as the Catholic, the Protestant and the Orthodox-Coptic Church in Ethiopia and Asian communities.
The second movement Communion is inspired by the Jewish worship service where one or two rabbi sing improvisational melodies responded by the church. The second movement, Jubilus expresses the joy of the new organ.
